What is Rush?
Rush is synonomous to membership recruitment. It lasts 6-8 weeks and offers a time for potential members to ask questions and get to know other members already in the group. The Greek community is a great way to meet new people and make friendships that can last a lifetime. Fraternities and sororities work hard at trying to give back to the community. A lot of us are actively invovlved, always lending a hand to those in need. You don't have to be in first year to rush, many girls rush in their second or third year. Sororities are all about Sisterhood; developing strong bonds with unique and independant women, while gaining different perspectives in all aspects of life. If you are unsure about whether or not you want to join, there is no harm in rushing a fraternity or sorority to find out more information. Greek life is not for everyone, but some find that joining a fraternity or sorority is the right decision for them. People always ask, "why is it you joined a sorority?" There is no ONE answer to this question. Each one of our girls join for different reasons; it's hard to explain. The sorority offers each off it's Sisters something different; it's something priceless, cherished, and valued.
"Those from the outside can't understand and those from the inside can't seem to explain"
